Filler

Goodness! This poor woman she is really going through it this episode
4:05 Also I like that they mentioned that detail

8:45 So y'all're just gonna let them drive away?? and let this woman be tricked?? Ok..
9:21 You could've at least tried to let her know or something!!

Man this one was good!! Probably one of the most interesting and unexpected cases from a filler. I like how they showed us the culprit so casually and early on, and that the victims weren't like horrible people that did something specific to the culprit like usual. Like, I like that the culprits motive wasn't like revenge or something like that, but it still makes sense, if u get what I'm saying

24:24 No need to yell Conan I can hear you just fine
24:34 I.. do not remember fishing vocabulary being a part of the kiri tengu case?? Unless that's for the actual next episode...

wow, i pretty much got a slam-dunk on that one. i just messed up a few things, like the double-cross and the meeting place. i forgot about the sports center. heh, beat the screenwriters at their own original anime game.

challenge your family to solve a rerun case? cmon... seriously a rerun case? KiriTengu Case was a 1h one ep52 Jdub, ep53 and 54 in Funimation's Edub.

fishing terminology, 366 title is "The Tragedy of the Pier in Plain Sight (Part 1)" so i bet you got that one right. :>

3:00 - Thinking about what I posted in the previous episode, him being on the public phone might support my theory. Maybe he was privately signaling his accomplice to get ready.

10:36 - Alright, I'll try to guess what his deduction would be based on this diagram
To simplify, let's denote S as the older twin and T as the younger twin. S clearly has a motive to kill T, but T's wife doesn't want that to happen. I highly doubt she would be the killer, but she would most likely be an obstacle. If T dies, S would become the heir of the company, therefore removing them from debt. Maybe this is what Anzai and S was talking about, which would be why Conan pointed out that S probably found a way to get out of debt. The plan was that Anzai was going to kill T while S makes an alibi for themselves. S alerted T's wife to get out of the hosue so that Anzai could get in without any witnesses. It was in secret too, so T would not know what was coming for him. Anzai probably told Kaoru to stay in Beika Hotel by waiting for a package that never came, that's why Kaoru was asking if there was a package. Now, why does Anzai want to kill Kaoru? I don't know yet. Anzai might have said that the package would come at 12:10 so that S would easily follow Kaoru. Using that S followed and attempted to attack Kaoru, and Mouri witnessed it at that time. S's death is most likely an actual accident and wasn't planned, meaning he wasn't planning to get caught. I also think too that Kaoru's attack was probably as a pay for Anzai killing T so Anzai, who was in Haido, has an alibi and couldn't kill Kaoru. Though, he had to take it to his own matters, so he attempted to kill Kaoru later on in the case. For the bottom diagram, maybe T is killed in a circumstance that it would be impossible unless you knew the house layout.

11:36 - Ah, another revision: Anzai knew that S was being investigated and used that to indirectly kill S by being present in Kaoru's room.

21:28 - I definitely got things wrong, but still, a lot of them are right answers, especially the murder exchange. Do I still get points?

Thoughts rn: It's a good case, but everything got a tad bit obvious when Anzai appeared. Nevertheless, it was still fun

KiriTengu Case was a 1h one ep52 Jdub, ep53 and 54 in Funimation's Edub.

I'm not smart enough for this

LesK • 2 years ago

that's the problem with murder swaps. they're complex.

just incredible ..so nicely written . really enjoyed the mystery.

so...
this case was that easy huh?
Didn't we already have a murder exchange previously? i swear i've encountered the concept before.. Found it really weird how they were struggling to wrap their mind around this simple idea🤨

oh, whoa, the old art in the 'next episode' is really showing its age compared to this one!

Star • 2 weeks ago

I'm really bothered by how high and narrow Mouri's eyes are in this episode..

4:26, rip Conan. 24:02, what? That's the wrong preview, it's for a way older episode. Though I do kinda miss that art style, everything looked softer and rounder. The shift in artstyle is more subtle for now but it's a lot more noticible later on. It's not that I don't like the current art style, I do, but it gets more angular in the newer/current episodes from what I've seen and I just miss the older style a bit. My favorite is from 1999-2005, though 2006-2009 are pretty good too.. If you look up "detective conan art style shift" or "detective conan art style change" you can see what I mean.
